Job Roles

3 radio production job roles i would like to do:

1.)  Producer

2.) Broadcast Journalist

3.) Presenter

Sell Yourself

The skills I have got that would help with being a radio producer is organisation, which would help because they are responsible for the overall running of the show and showing schedule and booking and preparing guests, I have done this before for another project, I have booked and arranged a party to shoot a film and prepared guests for it and informed them about what they had to do, which involved a lot of organisation.

One of the things i do that would help me be good at doing the broadcast journalist job would be that i have access to go anywhere most of the time, so i can go out and record interviews so we'd have some pre-recorded ones. I also like talking and getting into a conversation about anything, so i would like discussing whatever it might be, what i would have to present. i am also a quick thinker so if i didn't know what to say and we recorded it live, i could think of something to say to it, since i do a lot of thinking, which would help me answer the questions i would be asked. I also have experience with pre-recording things, like when i did my vox pops for my podcast unit.

One of the things i have that would make me good at being a presenter is the fact they after a couple of practises i can remember quite a lot of information, like when it comes to songs i've heard twice and i can remember the lyrics and then even more after listening to it a couple more times. And if it's text, like for a script after a couple of tries i can remember the lines pretty well, which would be useful. I would also be good at interviewing guests, since i talk to a lot of people daily, which helps with me interviewing them, since i tend to ask a lot of questions. I had to remember lines for a short film i was in and i still remember things after a while.

The job i wouldn't want to do is the news reader/radio journalist. This is because I don't read or look at the news a lot- at all, I mostly get told about specific things by people so I wouldn't know where to look online to find more information about news, like the different stories to use.
